hahaha, too bad that guy wasn't driving the accord. i'd suggest going to the SCCA website and finding a region near you.

I think sometimes it's not all about speed but handeling. I was thinking about trying myself but not sure how well your auto would hold up.

HORRIBLE! my first autocross i ran the car with the auto transmission. Acceleration sucks because the instructors suggested leaving the car in 2nd. If you leave it on d4 or d3 it will shift into higher gears way too early. And last, i ended up burning my transmission up doing it. I'm fairly convinced that this was what ultimately killed my transmission a few months later. It never felt right after i autocrossed with it.

so if you want to have fun destroying your transmission before your auto to manual conversion, i definately suggest autocrossing

lol if i wanted to destroy the tranny i could think of alot better things to do with it... but yea big news..... i called up a local junkyard this last friday and was checkin some prices and found a 5 speed si tranny from a wrecked delsol... it was hit in hte ass end by a suv so the engine and the tranny were fine.... but it was completely killed in the ass end... $250 dollars later i have the tranny sitting in my room in a recycling bin and i have the peddals with it also the ecu, seats, targatop, valve cover and entire console were already gutted out on it... but i got what i wanted.... does anyone know if i can change the peddals and still drive it... i wanna change the peddals asap so the day of the actual conversion will be alot easier and faster

yes you can, i suggest doing this. the pedals took me a good 8-10 hours to swap. it's a huge pain in the butt. Make sure you have the manual throttle cable too. you can't swap pedals and run the auto throttle cable, it does not fit.
