Yeah, I'm going to upgrade to some PowerSlot rotors, EBC pads, and stainless steel brakes lines. I'm still debating whether i want to go with rear discs or not. Seems like kind of a lot of money just to have some bling. The fronts do the majority of the brake work so I'll probably just get some new drums.

My bro is running the power slot rotors and EBC pads and they are really nice. He also just put on a set of 15" Axis OG Sans with 205/50/15 Falken ZE 912's

<-- jealous, lol.

Well Yesterday was the 2nd event in my region. It was a pretty tricky course that had a lot of veterans going off course all day. I ran clean all day (no cones, no off courses) until my last run. I didn't look ahead far enough and managed to miss a gate. Then i got greedy going into a corner and locked up the brakes. But as always it was pretty fun. I was happy that i'm keeping up with my buddies who are running the Falken Azenis. But soon i will be rocking those tires myself. Here are a couple pics.

once i have a rear sway i'm pretty sure corners like these will have me on 3 wheels. lol.

I love my expression in these photos, i look serious.

Looking good Dawg. Couple Question:
Are getting a Roll Cage?
If other Racer's have Low Time, do they need a Cage?
Must go through some Tires and Brakes Huh?

Nah, very few people have cages at autocross actually. If i did run a cage i'd be in a higher/more competitive class. The wear on my tires really hasn't been too bad, but then again i'm still on all seasons, so the compound isn't really soft like if i were running summer tires or slicks. Brakes do take a beating, but i'm still running cheapo WearEver pads and they do just fine. Once i get better at brake control, i'd like to upgrade brake pads, rotors, brake lines, and brake fluid.

When your Running through Corners, you use your E-brake a Lot too Rite? (Maybe to cut corners quicker?)

nah, that would actually make me slower. There was a hair pin turn at sunday's event and a guy in a sti decided to use the ebrake around that corner and was nearly kicked out of the event. He tore up all sorts of grass doing it and lost a lot of time.

nah not really. I mean if i find a nice off ramp or winding street (very few in rochester), then i'll take the curve pretty quick, but i don't really specifically go out to practice. I just get more experience from each event.

It was kinda funny actually. I was on my way to church with a buddy of mine one Sunday and we were driving past one of the huge parking lots on campus and saw the racing. The both of us are car guys and decided to skip church and watch autocross. That was sophomore year of college. I was hesitant to enter my car for about a year thinking i need to make suspension modifications to be competitive. But after putting the tokico kit on i went ahead and entered my junior year. Looking back on it, I would have been better off running my car stock to learn the basic skills. But i'm getting better each event and managing to remain relatively competitive considering i'm still on all season tires.

nah, drag racing is still pretty popular out here. I don't do it just because my car is a turtle when it comes to the quarter mile. I've thought about making it faster, but I'd rather wait until I can do so properly and keep the car reliable.

New pics from this Sunday. I graduated from college this weekend as well!!!!

anywho, my family was up and my bro stayed to go autocrossing. This is the first of 4 events being held at the Seneca Army Depot, which features an old abandoned airfield. So the speeds were high and the course was LONG.

Here's Steven, he's rollin on 15 x 7 Axis OG Sans with 205/50/15 Falken ze 912's

and yes that little white sticker in the window is an HSO sticker. REPRESENT, haha

I love this one, i got real close to the cone and that's exactly where you're supposed to be.

Anyway, before the 5th run i was first in novice, beating people on summer tires! I couldn't stay for the final results since my brother wanted to get going since he had a 5 hour drive home. But I was pretty pleased with the day.
