Default Project Primo Investment :)

Ok Boys, so my Cousin Bought this '95 Civic Coupe today for $200 Cash.
Can't get into Detail (Long Story) but I would like to show the Civic and the Defects, Plus the stuff it will need to make it Run Perfect again and hopes on selling when Ready.....

Simple Dent on the Fender:

Dirty Blacky's, Cheap Paint Peeling:

Ultra Filthy Interior, But nothing Cracked or Torn:
(My Cousins Wife found like $4.00 in Change)

Here's the Catch. The Tranny feels good but something is wrong with the Engine cause it Runs like Crap! Compression Test FTW!
D16z6 (forgot how many miles (I will edit this weekend))
Oh yea, and the Civic was Green:

He put it in his garage and we'll wait till the weekend. He made some phone calls to see how much a 1.6 Japanese Motor will cost but I told him to hold off till we do some test on it first.
This Weekend I will swing by and do a Compression Test and Maybe (hopefully) Take the Head off for further Inspection

Edit: Oh yea, It's a Little Smoky through the Muffler as I followed him Home and Stinks Bad. This will be Interesting.

Ok Boys, Work Day 2:

Compression Test Results. From the Dizzy - 170 - 170 - "00" - 155

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My cousin through the Cylinder Leakage Tester and the Dead Cylinder was Not holding pressure for nothing!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
No choice, I decided to Pull the Head Out. So I put it at Top Dead Center and Got to Work...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Remove the Valve Cover, Exhaust Manifold and did the Markings on the Cam Gear to the Belt and the Dizzy to the Head...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Good thing my Cousin has an Air Compressor and with a 1/2" Impact Wrench, Head Bolts came off easy....

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Disconnected the Sensors, Hoses and the Intake Manifold with Bracket, pulled the Head Out.....

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EEEEEEKK!! After I Pulled the Head Out sure enough, the Exhaust Valve is Toast.
(Kinda Reminds me of His CRX motor he gave me)

Fried Exhaust Valve!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That kinda explains why the Spark Plug was Drenched....

I've had one of those before on my old pontiac sunbird. Not sure how it happens but I replaced it and never had a problem again.

That's what he wants to do But my Cousin has tight Schedules n Stuff so Today we ain't doing nothing, Damn! Oh Well.

I have a Couple of Questions: (Kevo, What's your Opinion on this?)
Notice how the Pistons don't have Built up on them for nothing. With the problem this Civic has,
they're the Cleanest Pistons I've seen!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Notice how the Exhaust Valves are Nice and Corroded and the Intake Valves are Wet with Oil and all Around? Why is that?
It has a Brand New Belt, was the Timing Off a Little Maybe? The Spark Plugs are the Exact same way if not Worse.

I think that since cylinder 3 had no compression it wasn't burning the air/fuel mixture completely and so it began building up on the piston. The valve probably got like that because the engine was reved too high and floated the valve and smacked the piston. or possibly timing jumped a tooth, but i doubt it.

Well, to give you more of an Idea, the last Owner was the Only Person that Owned it (original owner) and my cousin said he hardly maintained the Poor thing.

I doubt the Valve touched the Piston. What I want to know is the Corrosion that builds up like that? Cheap Gas? Extremely Poor Maintenance?
