Default 17" rims on 92 Civic

Anyone using this setup? I wonder if yours rub against the fender? What is the actual offset the the right tyre size?
I am using 205/40-R17. Using stock shock with lowering spring.

most lowering springs don't have too much of a drop, and unless you've got like a 3 or more inch drop you shouldn't have any problems.

I had 17's on my car when it wasn't lowered so it didn't rub at all.. but if your gonna lower on 17s try and get a low profile tire with no much rubber, or you will have rubbing issues on your front inner fenders.

offset is your main issue with 17 inch wheels. more than likely you'll rub if you go lower than 2-2.5 inches.

edit: this thread is old.
