Oh BTW, I'm still stock compression, so thats why Im a bit low. I'll be building up the bottomend when tax return gets here. I can't wait. Hoping to get 210-220whp out of it as a end result, we'll see.

good. because thats alot of money it looks like you spent. and then stage 2 cams and the rest you bought for it. a few bolt ons and a tune for me usually net me around 210-215whp, some people, 230. just got my ECU back today. cant wait to try it out. im on my stock exhaust still though. so that will hurt me. im not expecting much til later on this year anyways

Yeah, its expensive including the tune. I'll probably go get it re-tuned next Friday. I think 187whp isn't too bad though cause most stock H22s with I/H/E I see puts down 160-170whp. And my first pull that my tuner ever did when it was first strapped on the dyno did 184whp, which isn't too bad then at last it wouldn't go past 187whp. So if I'm near 200whp this next tuned, I'd be happy considering I'm still stock compression and most setup I see has High Comp pistons and everything and still only 205-210whp.

Dang, I love your K20 Civic. Freaking siiick. I'll be looking forward into the CL7 JDM Accord Euro R K20A(220hp) for my future swap. If it doesn't work, a K24 should do it for me.

Haha, actually I was just staring at your sig cartoon pics and noticed that the engine is sitting on the passenger side instead of the center and saw the lettering "K20A2 Civic coupe". So right there I knew it was K-Series. Lol.

I'll check it out too.

Well, the Hasport mounts will only work for the K24, not the K20s; unless, it will work on all K-Series. But I remember reading it somewhere that, the mounts will only work on the K24s.

So, that kind of got me thinking if the CL7 JDM K20A will work; unless, the block itself is the same as the K24 then it will work.

the difference is the transmission i believe. i think the mounts are for any K, its just how the tranny mounts to it. and you can put almost any K tranny bolted to a different K

oh, and the Euro Accord K20a is the same as a DC5 k20a. since you have torque already, then upgrading to a K, id say just get an 06 TSX k24a2. the 06 head flows even better than a k20a2 and k20a, and has 3 lobe VTEC and same HP as k20a2 but like 20 more torque. then add a k20a2 6-spd, or whatever good 6-spd that would go into your accord.

nothing wrong with your setup though. you could always try that G23 build

good pics. Cool sh!t so far.

at least now you don't have to worry about running 29 secs on the 1/4 mile lol

That thing is going to be a beast when the bottom end is done.

I think 3" exhaust is toooo much...

Yeah, I'm not really into the G22/G23 swap even though I've seen tons of online buddies whose done them. One guy over at H-T only puts down 150whp.

So yeah, I rather just do a complete JDM H22A or a JDM H23 VTEC from the Wagon SiR which is more aggressive than the G22/G23 build.

Thanks. Yeah, it takes some time and lots of money plus cautions when you do it. Its all worth it at the end knowing that you learn a ton too.

wow. 150whp? haha. and theres all this talk about how it makes better numbers than a K. and the bigger G23 build i read on one of my magazines showing 250hp 185tq, when theres a guy, and plenty other making higher, with 217hp 182tq on a k24a2 with just I/H/E/Kpro tuned. now with the less torquey k20a2, someone made 260hp 195. these are all motor. turboed, the k20a2 could have more torque with that Hp.

but anyways. i just noticed the japanese writing on the side of your block on the HSO site. haha. wish i had some real JDM stuff going on with my motor.

I know and not just that it'll put low numbers but you need to press out the water pump gear off an H22 and press it onto the F22 water pump, plug up two oil hole, etc. Too much for me when I can get just a whole complete H22 and get a Hytech Rep Header + 2.5" exhaust all the way out with a good muffler and a 3.0" intake piping along with a good tune knowing it will pull hard as f*ck afterwards. But thats just me though and I know everybody's got their own preferences in this Automotive world. I know that if you put in some High Comp pistons and a set of Skunk2 cams, it might make some decent powers as well, just a thought.

I did read that article on their site, I believe its Super Street if I'm not mistaken, forgot which one. That G23 build is pretty siick too by using them K-Series piston and what not.

Yeah, I believe half of these JDM motors will come with that JDM writing sticker on the side of the timing cover. My buddy's CRX Type R swapped didn't come with one and he said he wished it did after he saw mine. Lol.

sweet. expecting over 200, or you're just happy "near" 200?

your old numbers make me feel like i dont need to swap for a k24 bottom end for more torque. you were 181/147, where im 184/148. makes me kind of happy to know. like i said earlier, my stock exhaust was going to kill it, and it sure did by about 15-20whp.
