went to the machine shop today just to see how my head is doing and they were watching the mexico france soccer game. I stayed there to watch also lol. Good game I might add


anyway, OH MY GOD!! Head is looking Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick!!!

I'll pick it up later today.

(cost details)
$130 they did:
-Pressure Test
-Cleaned it out
-3 Angle Valve Job
-Replaced Valve Seals
-Mill Surface


(additional parts)
$100 more for:
Complete Head Gaskets Seals Kit
(from the head gasket up)


I'll keep updating the cost as I go.
so far $230 in

i could of got that all done for u for 100 bucks including head kit lol but u would have to drrive to my dads mech shop for it

turned out great. those valves cleaned up nicely. good to see that none of them were bent.

I took everthing off the block and left it bare for the machine shop to clean up.
I will post pics of how I did and what I found...

Removed clutch, flywheel, alternator, brackets, etc. to put on engine stand




Drained motor oil and out goes the oil pan





more oil lol

started on the girdle to remove crank




got too messy for pics but kept going till the crank was out
and popped pistons out from right to left






this is the order they came out,
and look at what I found out!





DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN!!!!

Bent rod knotched the bottom of the cylinder end
you can see it on the right cylinder
Cylinder walls are all good






I'll save this one for my before pic

Nothing else was out of ordinary.


I requested Machine shop to:
-Hot Tank
-Hone all Cylinders
-Deck

additional parts to be cleaned are my Oil Pan, Caps and Girdle.

and as soon as I get another set of pistons w/ rods, I'll take them in also so they can clean them up.

what a trip with that bent rod....
