yes it will fit and the swap is not that difficult. depending on the year of the motor you may need an OBD1-OBD2 conversion harness and you will need to run wires for VTEC, a knock sensor and a few other things. you will also need a new left side motor mount.

good luck finding one though...

I would go with the 200 hp h22a. its gonna be cheaper, easier to find, and has LSD.

you would have to look at the VIN on the engine block to see what car it came from.

i wouldnt know about that. im sure you can have the stock block for any honda motor. ive seen d16's b16's, b18's, h22's, f20's, and k20 and k24's all on their original block. im no turbo expert here though. id say you can still boost it, and it will be safe, depending how much boost you use VS how much the block can handle internally.

but heres where i got my k20a2 from. i just checked this to see if they had the euro H22a.
http://www.hmotorsonline.com/

the link i put up didnt work, so just go to that site, then click "motor mall" then click "JDM-USDM engines", and turn the page 3 times and you see the H-series motors.

you can use the stock block, but you may have to beef it up depending on what your hp goals are. People add iron sleeves to strength up the block, especially if they have thin cylinder walls. Darton is a pretty reputable brand.

the only thing i can tell you is, that the f20b is a 2.0 where the H22a is 2.2. also, the f20b has less torque but same horsepower. the 92-95 H22a has a lower compression than the f20b and euro H22a. another thing. those motors are heavy. lol. thats all i know. a couple pages past the one i told you to go to, shows another H22a long block for $999 Plus shipping and handling on the 92-95 Spec and $1400 Plus shipping and handling 97-98 Spec. both 200hp 161tq. it also shows an H23a DOHC Vtec (200hp 163tq) for $1300

or you could go K-series. =) get the k24a8 (166hp 160tq) long block for $800 and put a 6 speed tranny on it, or a 5 speed if you want to go boost, because theres all that torque, youd be shifting through gears like crazy with a close gear ratio 6 speed. or k24a2 long block for $1900 (200hp 166tq and that nice 3 lobe Vtec)

haha. you dont need to get a K. im just waiting on someone on this forum to do it so im not the only one. =(

anywho. i found this kind of useful

A JDM H23A VTEC, JDM F20B, JDM H22A, JDM H22A Type S, JDM H22A Euro R, JDM F22B DOHC non VTEC, or a JDM H23A. Any of these will fit.

To tell the difference from a Euro R from the Base H22A is the code stamped on the head. If it says "P13", its a base H22. If it says "PCD", thats a Euro R engine. If it says "PCB", its a F20B when they have a black valve cover on. Just so you know, if you want to know what type of H22 it is, look at the stamp mark on the head on the header side.

They also have a year stamped on the head as well if you remove the header heat shield.
