Cleaned up, honed cylinders and deck the surface.
I told them NOT to paint the block. I want to paint it this time

lastly, cleaned up the crank and polished up the journals.
But we have a problem, crank is NO GOOD
surface where the thrust washers go is toast. No worries, I have one more to see if it measures out

When the girdle and rod caps came off, I same the jounals and thought, "sweet! Journals look clean!" Never thought about checking the face where the thrust washers go. Machine shop said I can use it but it will make a ugly friction noise later down the road.

on another note, the other crank I had was bad too lol. So now I have 2 cranks to scrap

Here we go...

I forgot to add that the exhaust valve guides were bad (3 out of 8 valve stems were loose)
so they replaced them for me

so for all this it was $100

another crank provided by machine shop = $85

and to replace the 8 exhaust valve guides = $50

Total for this = $235

Crank n valve guides were no on the budget! >,<

oh well, what rebuild runs into no problems right?
