Smile new car

well i have not been on here for a while but i got a new car with the inserance money from the wreak. i picked up a hood a fender from pull a part in indy for 28 bucks a piece so my green car is fixed also. back to my new car its a red 95 civic ex,its a 5 speed and has 158000 miles on it. i got pics but cant load them on this comp. i have a ? though its not v-tec but it has the wiring ran and the plugs under the hood and it looks like it has a spot to mount a v-tec cyl. my ? is how can i make it v-tec it has a zc motor in it. i took my v tec cly off my green car witch has a d16 and it has three bolts holding it on the zc motor only has a spot for two. so is the head just non v tec or does a zc motor take a dif v-tec cly.

it has a zc, it's basically a d-series. but for some reason they are called zc. zc's came in SOHC and DOHC versions.

Alright.
#1 Pictures!
#2 It's kinda Weird that it's Ex and Non Vtec. I'm not that Familiar with your Generation D-Series Engines but if it's not Vtec then you might have to do a Vtec Head Swap.
If it has 2 holes to bolt that Solenoid then it won't work.
#3 I would like to break my Head and help you Further. Take Pictures of your Green Civics Engine (close ups if possible) and of you New Civic as well.

Edit: Congrats on your New Civic.

i cant say for sure without seeing it, but usually when your tire wiggles the tie rod end needs to be replaced. i guess it could be a wheel bearing though.

Either the tensioner is probably Bad or that's the Wrong Belt.

Also, Did you guys use the Same Head Bolts??

i dunno know why zach, but your posts are really confusing to me. the oil change guy prolly saw your tie rod or cv boot tore and said wheel bearing. you dont have to know anything about cars to change oil. lol.
if the zc motor u have is the dual cam non-vtec then that would explain your timing belt. either that or your not lining the tensionor up right.
im kinda confused about the fact its a non vtec 95 ex. hopefully they didnt fool with the wiring when whoever pulled the old d16 out, otherwise your going to have to wire the car for vtec. its not too hard though. ive done it, there is even a step by step write up in the How to section if you need it.
make sure you swap your ecu over. but im sure you know that already.

lol yea sorry. i dont have good grammer lol. but ill start clean. the motor that was in my car is a sohc zc motor not dohc. i have no idea why its non vtec since its a 95. i kno there was a v tec moter in there to start with cuz the wiringin is all ready ran for v-tec. and yes i have all ready got a new ecu. on the zc motor i think its just another name for a d15 cuz i bought the oil plug for a 1.6 and it did not fit but the one for a 1.5 does.
