I was wondering how that was going. I can't wait to see how she runs after this swap. I'd imagine the head will flow a lot better than the f22 head.

as of now, i got the new injector from tuner toys, but it doesn't fit into the wiring harness. i think i can modify the plug to fit though so i should be ok. i still need to pick up the gsr timing belt, but i did finally buy a rebuilt dizzy and a tb. they should be here in a few days. after i get all the parts in, it should only take me a day or two to get it running again.

alright so i made some good progress today.

i received the tb and dizzy today so i was able to get those put on. i modified the injector harness to make the injector fit and buttoned up the fuel rail. all i have left is the timing belt and putting the accessories and turbo back on. i am going to order the timing belt and some misc gaskets tomorrow. it's starting to look like a motor again...

are you going to retune after its all said and done?

and also is the motor jacked up on the pass side or is the pic just a funny angle?

yeah i have to retune it again once i am done. i am looking for someone that has a basemap for this motor so i will have less tuning to do. but if it comes down to it i can reuse an old basemap and do a lot of tuning.

the eninge looks angled because the right side motor mount is off and the engine is supported by a floor jack so i can get to all the timing stuff.

i think this head swap has been done 1,000,001 times, so there are lots of tips and instructions on how to do it, but i am still excited none the less.

There's a few people on CB running boosted H23/F22b's, so they might be able to give you a little insight on a basemap.
