Question 1997 civic 205/50R16?

I don't know if 205/50R16 will fit my 1997 Honda civic ex coup. When I bought my aftermarket rims, they came with 205/40R16. I need more meat on my rims if you guys know what I mean. The 40s look awkward and either I lower my car or invest on 205/50R16 which I need. Please help. Suggestions, advice etc.

They will fit but it depends if you have stock suspension.
