so well, after many dremel bit's an many hour's later, we finally decided that the flap wheel is indeed the best route to go. We started out with the 80 grit, sanded till the majority of all the deposit's were gone, then hit it up the the 120 grit flapwheel for a really nice shine, not quiet mirror, but then we found some polishing stone's that gave us that real deep shine that you could make out reflection's to it

This is my buddie's girlfriends step dad's motor that's going into their 78 F250, it's been torn apart, an being re-built back together i helped him out yesterday putting in the piston's, connecting arm's/rod's onto the crank. installed the high velocity oil pump, an pick up tube.......oh god what else.........were gonna put the oil pan on, but it's been damaged and there's some really old silicone sealant so we decided getting a new one's just gonna be the best option...uh.put both the head's on, an on one side we put the lifters an push rod's in......but then ran outta time an had to stop........this has been a very, very fun learning experience for me!

so much fun! i've never done anything like this before so, it's all experience going towards my personal build. i'll get more pic's of the engine soon! and as for pop's....the first thing he said......"great......now i'm gonna have to get a cam for it!" lol...
he's actually really stoked, cuz he drive's semi second shift, so he's not really able to put alot a time into it. but he's funding the project so......he's pretty much getting damm near to free labor outta the deal.

oh, an in case anyone's wondering. no we didn't do any porting, at all. an as for the intake side, all we did was clean up the deposit's with the 80 grit

Haha it sounds like you guys definitely figured it out and you used the same exact grit and everything I used when I pulled my f22b2 head 6 months ago and cleaned that crap out
