Default $100 crower cam

ok...here's the story and i don't know all the details but i'll tell you what i know.... my buddy has a civic with a b series in it... he ordered some brand new crower stage 1 cams off of e bay..... he paid 300 bucks for both of them... they were brand new never opened in the box.... he won the bid... paid for them... got them.. opened the box up and it was two d series cams, not b series.... he wants to sell them to me and my buddy for 100 bucks b/c the bid said as is no refunds... you all know my car is an auto and i was wondering if i could put the new cam in and still be in good shape... i went to the website and it says the stage one requires no further modifications... oh and also... i got my automatic tranny cooler installed and it helps so much... there is less of a shift shock now... i shoulda got one a long time ago

wait, first i think your buddy needs to file a complaint with eBay. if he bid on b series cams he should get b-series cams. Second, if he got the wrong cams how do you know they are d-series cams and what the specs are on them. if they are stage 1 cams you should be ok and wouldn't need to modify the valve train to run them. And last, yea i had a tranny cooler when i had the auto, they do help.

he ran the serial numbers through some website and they came up d series........ he is a f#@!$% genious when it comes to b series engines... this is his fourth one he's building from the ground up he just noticed that they didn't look right when he opened the box up so he ran the serial number ... he's single, 25 and is the assistant foreman at crown( if any of you know what that is) he has money up the ass and doesn't wanna bother dealing with the complaints.... all he did was send a letter to e bay saying what happened and that he doesn't wanna take any further action... he left the decision on what to do up to e bay... the specs are

Stage 1 - Features far more agressive ramp rate then stock with added duration.
Excellent for turbo and nitrous.
Idle to 7200+ rpm.
stage 1 stock
advertied duration: 292/302 288/299
duration @ .050" 228/208 220/207
gross lift w/ 1.6 int. /1.8 ext 406/385 389/365

tell him to file a coplaint with ebay. it doesnt matter if it said as is or not. if the item isnt what he bid on, he can get his money back.

ive been there and done that with ebay crap...

i bought the 96-97 honda accord black housing taillights and got the 94 accord one's and put negative feedback with the guy and he said he wouldn't take him back, filed a complaint with ebay and was refunded 120% of the cost turned out ok in the long run
