I didn't paint the whole car Angel, just my front end. Take one more look.

I bought 3 cans of primer and it was enough. I bought 4 cans of semi-gloss black but I only used 3 cans. It's always better to have left over then needing more in the middle of your work.

I'll tell you my secret but don't tell no one. I used one of my Graffiti NY Fat Tips I had put away from a looooong time ago. It made it super easy to paint

You'll see

I found someone on craigslist selling a black one.

For the 4drs, 2 things are different,
1. The 2 tail lights on the trunk lid are shaped different. The outer tail lights are the same shape.
(I'm on my phone so I cantpost pics)

2. The 96-98 have the Red lense on top of the clear/amber lense. The 99-00 have the clear/amber lense on top and the Red lense on the bottom.

I used three cans primer and three cans paint to do just the side of the car door, fender, rear quarter panel, and thin door molding.

I doubt you primered your civic with 3 cans Terryn. I used 3 cans just for my front end. Unless you just gave it one pass and that's it. I primered my sh!t good. 3 coats to be exact. And then 3 coats of the black.

Next time I paint my Civic, I'm using a spray Gun. I'm going to order one soon just to have it. I quart of paint will be cheaper then buying 10 cans of spray paint. Don't get me wrong, I love to paint with spray cans ( I did it for 13 years ), it was just too time consuming and you can still noticed the spray lines on it. It would have looked worse if would have used the regular tips the spray can come with. I had 2 Fat Cap Tips that I pulled out of my stash.

The dude that was selling the trunk lid ended up being for a 96-98 4dr :/

That thing was clean too. Good thing I told him to text me a picture of it before I drove way over there to see it. It sucks when people don't know when some parts are different..

hey I have a spray gun ill sell lol you, need the perfect conditions to paint with a gun tho, you pretty much need a paint room that is at 80 degrees all the time while painting I tried with a fender it sucked it is too cold here and it didnt dry correctly and with all the stuff floating around in the air it left spots so like i said you need a sealed room and something to keep the temp up in the room or at least however long it says for the drying time. oh dont forget the protective equipment because you really shouldnt breath the paint fumes from that kinda paint, it is way different than rattle cans which some people huff??? if they wanna get high off something they should try real paint LMAO ( they would prob die if they inhaled straight fumes from this shit
