you might need to reset your SRS system for the airbag. the cv joint will need to be replaced since you probaby have a tear in the boot and that will eventually lead to the failure of the joint. the exhaust will need to be replaced or repaired by a muffler shop.

The SRS light means that the airbags need to be inspected. My 97 Integra is doing the same thing. It doesn't mean anythings really wrong with it, but by law a car's airbags are supposed to be inspected ten years after they're installed.

And yeah, like Kevo said, don't put off replacing the CV boot, because eventually pieces of it will tear off and ruin the joint and drive axle, which will be a much more costly fix than just the boot itself (speaking from experience here).

It's wierd to me to think that people have to get their cars inspected. I've only ever lived in Illinois and Michigan, and neither of them have ever done inspections.

srs is the safety restaint system, and it could be one of several things that need to be fixed.

ditto. I've never realized how much of a pain inspections were till i came up to Rochester for school. It's rediculous.

No inspections here in CO, just emission tests.

For the exhaust, you may have a hole or one of the gaskets is bad. CV boots, replace those ASAP. For the air bags/srs you'll need to go to a shop that can inspect/fix it.

True, good point. I'd take it somewhere and have it inspected. They'll be able to tell you whether it just needed its ten-year inpection or if there actually is something wrong.
